In what ways might you blend
two seemingly disparate or opposing fields
to benefit the other?
For my own part, an unexpected
synergy has resulted from
the surprising mix
of the corporate market and the arts.
The dynamic works in both directions.
My experience as a performing artist
has enabled me to bring insights
and value to the business sector
whether with sales, service, or
leadership teams around the globe.
And in turn,
my work in the business sector has
enabled me to support and contribute
to performing arts organizations.
One in particular had (and continues to have)
a profound influence on what I create.
The synergy has been
illuminating and fulfilling,
and most recently led to a special
moment I never expected.
On May 20, I was honored
with The Barrow Group Award.
It was a humbling experience.
The Barrow Group (TBG) is an exceptional
performing arts training,
education and production center
based in NYC.
In my experience, the quality of
TBG’s work goes beyond
much of what you might see on
Broadway…and for 1/10 the price.
Their work is not razzle-dazzle showmanship.
It’s much more subtle,
profoundly powerful and filled with
honesty, purity, and vulnerability.
And so to support the organization
in the ways I can is deeply meaningful.

of my award remarks above.
Risk Forward & Rock On,
P.S. Arts and non-for-profit organizations need your support now more than ever.
