I was lucky enough on Friday night to be at the film screening of “Life of Pi” which opened the 50th Anniversary of the New York Film Festival.

It is a cinematic achievement — like nothing I’ve seen before — and throughout, from titles to cuts, Lee develops new ways of telling a story.

Whether it’s this film that you see or any other art that inspires you and breaks the boundaries of what’s been done before, use it for inspiration in your communications and life.

As for storytelling, what Ang Lee said in his comments before the film took my breath away. I am still whispering the line silently to myself…the rhythm, the mystery… I’ve heard this TYPE of comment made hundreds of times, but not quite in this way.

“It’s the stories that we share that bring us together and add meaning to our lives.”
