I’m here in Indianapolis at the NSA (National Speakers Association) National convention and have been talking with my colleagues over the past few days.
Running a business as a speaker, solopreneur, consultant or even as a small training company is not an easy job…and this is a group of very motivated people. So I’m always curious to learn more about what drives people…
I asked a few people tonight – for some it’s making money, for some it’s building a legacy to pass on to their kids, for some it’s spreading their message, but one answer I really like was this: “not squandering my gifts.”
I loved that phrase… “squandering one’s gifts.”
So what are your gifts? Are YOU squandering them? What’s ONE STEP – just ONE STEP – that you could take today to start giving the world “what you’ve got.”
“Creative work is not a selfish act or a bid for attention on the part of the actor.
It’s a gift to the world and every being in it.
Don’t cheat us of your contribution. Give us what you’ve got.”
